| MTNL greas up for 3G rollout |

State owned MTNL which has to go through the bidding process(without backdoor entry) has finalized its 3G rollout plans. It has placed equipment and networking orders with ITI-Alcatel. In another development, the GSM lobby represented by COAI, has expressed it's unhappiness over 3G rollout recommendations of TRAI and in a release said,
"On the whole, the TRAI recommendations are rather slanted in favour of CDMA and disadvantageous to GSM".
