| Active Infrastructure Sharing a Reality |
|
The Department of Telecom [DoT] has given its nod for share active infrastructure [like antenna and feeder cables] barring the spectrum. This is likely to lower the network roll-out costs and thus companies can pass on the savings as cheaper tariffs for consumers.
In a separate development, Bharti Airtel today said it has successfully tested 3G applications with various equipment suppliers and is all set to start services as and when the spectrum is allocated. |
